Videa Media Kit

About Videa

Videa is a supply-side platform that partners with TV stations to deliver the only live marketplace for full schedule, forward reserve broadcast TV inventory that can be ordered up to a year in advance.

Built for broadcasters, by broadcasters.

Videa works with TV stations to make it easier to buy and sell local TV advertising. Videa is dynamically changing and advancing the TV industry:

  • Automates the buying process
  • Simplifies the sales process
  • Minimizes the time to market
  • Maximizes the value of local TV inventory
  • Supports industry transparency and fairness

Videa was founded in January 2014, and is fully owned and supported by Cox Media Group.

We are headquartered in Atlanta, GA, with offices in New York City.

Videa’s Solution, Reach and Users

Videa’s automated solution brings innovation to a process – the selling and buying of spot TV – that hasn’t changed for over 50 years.

For Sellers, Videa eliminates many of the time-consuming, manual processes that impede the sales cycle, while providing order transparency, automated ratings forecasts and station-controlled pricing. We free up time for sellers to do what they do best – sell.

For Buyers, Videa reduces the number of manual hours spent on makegoods, rounds of negotiations and posting, while maintaining the integrity of the buyer-seller relationship. We also allow buyers to avail for Videa, and non-Videa, stations to make it easier to buy full markets across all 210 DMAs.

Videa’s up to date market map can be found here.

How Does Videa Work?

Videa automates the buying process, not the deal, and then facilitates the purchasing cycle.

  1. The station makes its full inventory available for purchase through Videa
  2. Buyers avail in seconds for full schedule, forward reserve, local inventory
  3. Transactions are based on the media buyer’s criteria and pricing is approved by the station

How Do We Compare?

  • Videa works across existing sales channels and with any traffic system or demand side buying platform.
  • We offer full visibility, and the entire inventory for purchase with ability to schedule up to a year in advance.
  • We do not facilitate real-time bidding or remnant bidding for less desirable inventory.
  • We are scalable and able to work in alignment with each station or station group’s unique business requirements or sales strategy.

Videa’s patent: “Systems and Methods for Selecting Television Content Inventory and Predicting Available Inventory” provides methods for using advertising traffic system data to automatically and predictively match available advertising inventory to potential buyers, among other areas. Portions of the Videa technology are made available under US Patent No. 9,986,275.

“Providing efficiencies for buyers and sellers in their workflows is becoming increasingly important and is why we became one of the first to join TIP,” said Rob Weisbord, Chief Revenue Officer, Sinclair Broadcast Group. “It’s exciting to see a technology provider like our partner Videa driving the industry forward and to work with them to ultimately drive open standards-based solutions for more efficient automated buying and selling of local broadcast inventory.”

“Imagine offers industry-leading advanced workflow solutions that are enhanced by our active engagement with partners on building OpenAPI communications customers use to create new efficiencies and transitional models that help grow revenue,” said Dave Villano, COO, Imagine Communications. “Our integration with Videa is an important step toward interoperability between systems and transactional innovations, and we look forward to continuing our support of this important initiative.”
